Nigerian company Thrive Agric wins the 2022 edition of the global Visa Everywhere Initiative program

Today, Thrive Agric, a fintech that enables smallholder farmers to access finance, information and distribution, was named the winner of the Visa Everywhere Initiative (VEI) Award – an open innovation program and global competition for start-ups and fintechs.

The global final, which took place in Qatar during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, was preceded by a year-long competition where entrepreneurs from around the world participated in regional editions before reaching the final stage.

The event brought together Visa and industry leaders, as well as a past winner of the Visa Everywhere Initiative, to celebrate innovative fintechs and their solutions.
