Schengen visa 2023 – Annaba’s wali and the Italian ambassador to Algeria, Giovanni Puglies, inaugurated on Tuesday, December 6, the Italian visa application center, VFS GLOBAL, located in Rizzi-Amor (ex Chappuis).

With a view to strengthening relations between Algeria and Italy, a new visa application center for Italy has opened its doors in Annaba. This is the fifth Italian center in Algeria. The latter was inaugurated by the Italian ambassador to Algeria, Giovanni Puglies. The mentioned center was built at the level of the coastal area Rizzi Amor. He will take care of receiving visa applications from Algerians. It should be remembered that in the past it was the Italian Embassy that was responsible for carrying out these missions. But increasing demand has given way to outsourcing.

The latter, who, as a reminder, are working to intensify their economic, commercial and cultural cooperation. In addition, the University of Annaba is the third in the country to have an Italian language department. And this after Algiers and Blida. It should be noted that the ambassador offered the department a collection of didactic books and Italian literature. The latter even announced the imminent opening of an Italian room within the faculty. This will promote cultural exchange between the two countries.
Finally, Giovanni Puglies visited the Faculty of Architecture of the aforementioned university. On this occasion, he expressed his desire to see the cooperation between Badji Mokhtar University extended to other areas, in this case scientific research.
